Valerie Foushee's nearly $2 million in AI Super PAC backing from Anthropic's Jobs and Democracy PAC, and her numerous donations from corporate defense contractors. AI corporation Anthropic's "Claude" technology was used by the Trump administration in their strikes on Iran, which killed at least 165 people — including over 100 elementary school students. Anthropic's AI model was previously used by the Trump administration in his military coup of Venezuela and kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro. Foushee has taken tens of thousands of dollars from corporate defense contractors including Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and General Dynamics. "I’m County Commissioner Nida Allam, candidate for Congress. I'm addressing you directly because President Trump just used our taxpayer dollars to bomb a school in Iran, killing over 100 elementary-school children and starting another endless war abroad. This is reprehensible, and I strongly condemn it, as should every elected official. As Election Day approaches you will see nearly $2 million of ads for my opponent, funded by AI-backed super PACs – the same AI corporation who powered Trump’s attacks on Iran – while she takes donations from Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and General Dynamics. So I wanted you to hear it from me personally: I will never take a dime from defense contractors or the pro-Israel lobby. I have opposed these forever wars my entire career, and I hope to earn your vote to be your proudly uncompromised pro-peace leader in Washington.
